Approved Continuing Education Trainer (ACET)
| Family Section Training Committee creates Approved Continuing Education Trainer designation - Tuesday, July 21, 2009The Family Section Training Committee saw the need for approved continuing education to assist our advanced practitioners and others in selecting programs which would meet their needs. After several years of discussion it was determined that the short programs usually considered for continuing education were not something we could review in the same way we review 30 and 40 hour programs.
The result is our new Approved Continuing Education Trainer (ACET) certification. This allows experienced trainers to offer many types of continuing education that are pre-certified as appropriate for the continuing education required to maintain Advanced Practitioner status.
You will find the guidelines and application form on this page. Questions may be directed to committee chair Duane Ruth-Heffelbower druth-heffelbower@acrfamilysection.org.
The committee will be providing a workshop at the Atlanta conference on how to achieve ACET status or get a 30/40 hour training approved. | |
